Hattori & Aiko | Aesthetic couple photoshoot in Santorini

AN AVANT-GARDE PHOTOSHOOT IN SANTORINI

Hattori and Aiko, born and raised in Japan, followed their hotel’s recommendation and booked a three-hour photoshoot in Santorini with us. We met early in the morning (just about sunrise) to avoid the crowds and started shooting immediately. After taking their first pictures, I realized that they were both very calm and cooperative, hoping to get the best set of pictures possible.

Our conversations revolved around Japanese aesthetics (which I’m a huge fan of) and our shared passion for photography.

As the session progressed, I found myself captured by their body posture and effortless posing and kinesthesia. (Our aesthetic when it comes to posing is very minimalistic, avoiding any uncomfortable gestures.)

Sometimes, I need to remind myself about that fine balance between capturing spontaneous moments and satisfying that OCD inherited from architectural photography.

But with couples like Hattori and Aiko, who really understand the struggle of creating beautiful imagery, I can be 100% myself (and maybe go nuts whenever I have to)

We finished the session with some avant-garde shots of Aiko against a white wall which ended up being my personal favorites.

I had such a great time that I accompanied them all the way back to their hotel and snapped a few more pictures in their room.

This gallery is a great representation of our work and aesthetic; highlighting the difference between our service and what you’d typically find on platforms like Airbnb, Viator etc.

Don’t leave Santorini with just selfies together.
