I won’t forget you

Like most of my fine art nude photography work in Santorini, this session was a last-minute adventure!

The couple had only 50 minutes before boarding their flight, so we decided to take a quick walk in Monolithos beach, a lesser-known spot near Santorini's international airport.

Of course, inspiration struck at the worst possible moment. I had to convince my friends to strip down and jump into the cold water just minutes before their flight! I had all my photography gear in the car, but of course, No towel!

Dimitris, being a professional model, is no stranger to these kinds of spontaneous situations. Alexandra, on the other hand, had never done anything like this before. Still, she was brave and kind enough to embrace the challenge and join him in the freezing water!

To create the shot I envisioned, I brought in an assistant to stand chest-deep in the water, holding a 600-watt flash equipped with a parabolic umbrella. The soft, artificial light illuminated the couple and the water, highlighting the rocky formations beneath their feet.

Dimitris was shivering and was a bit stiff from the cold, while Alexandra, completely relaxed, was having the time of her life!
