Alex & Angelica | Santorini proposal video in Oia

Alex and Angelica booked us for a couple session in Oia, including photography and video, for two hours.

We started walking through Oia, filming and shooting as we went. Nothing felt rushed. Nothing felt staged.

Two minutes before it happened, Alex told me he was going to propose.

We kept moving.

The spot he chose is usually busy. Most of the time you wait, or you move on. This time, it was empty. Oia opened up behind them, with the first light of day escaping the hills of Imerovigli.

Conditions like that do not happen often.

Alex stopped and proposed. Angelica needed a moment to understand what was going on. I stayed close and kept rolling.

Because this was video, I had to step in and re do a few things. I do not enjoy interrupting moments, but I prefer being a bit annoying if it means ending up with a strong Santorini proposal film.

We continued walking after. No rush. No extra scenes.

The final film is a minute and a half. It came out of two hours of moving through Oia, staying alert, and letting things happen when they were ready.
