Amitoj & Nav – Santorini Proposal at The Edge Restaurant

Amitoj did everything right. He planned ahead, trusted the process, and showed up ready. Well… almost ready.

They were late.
He arrived sweating.
Nav had no idea what was coming and took her time getting ready.

Classic…

We had 30 minutes in Imerovigli, winds pushing close to 35 miles per hour, and zero margin for error. One of those days where Santorini reminds you who’s in charge.

If you’ve ever been to Imerovigli, you already know the deal. The wind is literally trying to push you off the edge.

I was shooting with a light assistant, but the gusts were so strong that opening a reflector was simply not an option, so we adapted. Again, you don’t fight the weather in Santorini, you work around it.

I asked Nav to face directly into the wind to keep her hair from turning into a complete mess. Amitoj, on the other hand, was still sweating. I took the ring out of his pocket and he came back to life.

Once we wrapped in Imerovigli, they got in the car and headed to The Edge Restaurant. This is where everything slowed down, in the best way possible.

As soon as they stepped out of the car, I discreetly slipped the ring box back into Amitoj’s pocket.

The setup was ready. Anna, the violist, welcomed them with an instrumental version of their favorite song. Nav still had no idea.

Love unfolded under violent winds.
Amitoj popped the question.
Nav almost collapsed.

Epilogue

Nothing about this proposal was extra.
No overdone decor.
No distractions.
No cheesy hearts with fake flowers.

It worked because:

• Amitoj trusted the plan
• Nav stayed present and fought the wind without complaining
• We tackled extreme conditions and did not let them ruin the session
• The plan was solid, even with a 45 minute delay
