Dvir & Pailine

Dvir was the “Do whatever you want—money is not an issue” type of client, giving us full creative freedom to plan his day. He came to us asking for the best possible experience to propose in a private, beautifully decorated setting.

There was no need to explain why candle hearts and “marry me” letters wouldn’t work. From the very start, Dvir and I were on the same page, sharing the same aesthetic when it came to photography, as well as a carefully crafted decoration and floral setup.

We put together a 6-hour timeline, spread across two days, that looked like this:

• Imerovigli and Skaros: 1.5 hours
• Pyrgos: 1.5 hours
• Proposal at El Viento: 1 hour
• Day after photoshoot in Oia: 2 hours

Dvir and Pailine were more than willing to follow our directions to capture the best Santorini photos. They climbed the domes, walked down to Skaros, moved to four different locations, and even woke up at 5:30 am to meet us at 6:15 for their sunrise photoshoot in Oia.

Dimitris and Thanos covered the Imerovigli and Pyrgos locations while I waited at El Viento for their arrival. When they showed up, I played the role of the restaurant manager, pretending I couldn’t find their reservation and keeping them waiting for a few minutes to build anticipation and make the surprise even more intense.

The door opened five minutes before sunset, and they made their entrance into a thoughtfully arranged candlelight setup on a 4x4 meter platform. Somehow, Thanos managed to hide a tiny microphone in Dvir's pocket to capture his proposal speech.

The fountains went off exactly when Pauline said yes, followed by aerial fireworks!

The next morning, we met the couple before sunrise for another two hour photoshoot in Oia. It’s a shame to leave Santorini without having photos taken in Oia, and yes, you must be there at sunrise.

To our surprise, Dvir and Pailine arrived in traditional Thai clothes to honor Pauline’s roots and family. We visited the blue domes before the crowds arrived and took our time crafting pictures at Santorini’s best photo spots.

Right after returning to our villa, the whole team worked on their files. Delivering their photos within 48 hours was the least we could do for two people who trusted us with their most important moment (at the time).
