Meeting our favorite couples under wild weather conditions is becoming quite the tradition.
Rouven and Frauke chose the windiest day of 2023 for their elopement in Santorini. I'm talking about the kind of wind that makes rooftops fly and forces you to reconsider your plans.
Their preparations and ceremony took place at Aenaon Villas, perched atop Imerovigli’s highest hill. Taking our advice, they got ready together at the bridal suite, which stood out among the property's other rooms.
Despite the crazy winds, the ceremony was absolutely breathtaking! We were all caught up in the moment.
We collectively decided to skip our private photoshoot in Imerovigli and head to Pyrgos village, hoping the narrow alleys would shield us from the gusts.
We kicked off our shots in the lower half of the hill against the beautiful blue domes. (Did you know that Pyrgos village has blue domes?)
Then, we headed to the main square where the locals greeted us warmly and even gave us blessings in Greek!
The weather inspired us to creative a dramatic cinematic teaser that matched the intensity of the day.
