Taylor and John chose to have their elopement in Milos with just their two best friends present. They wanted a true Greek island experience and Milos can offer just that (I don't know for how long).
We arrived with our private boat and worked with them for two days, moving between secluded beaches and the island’s top photo spots.
Day 1: The Beach Elopement and sunset session in Plaka
Day one was about their beach ceremony. When you remove the 200 guests, the venue, and the logistics, you’re left with what matters most. After a short 15-minute ceremony, we headed to Plaka for sunset photos, and that is how we wrapped up day one.
Day 2: Sunrise session in Sarakiniko & Mandrakia
We started at Sarakiniko at sunrise. There is no other way to shoot this place. You either show up at 5:30 AM or you have tourists in your background. The light did us a favor that day. We finished at 7:00 AM and headed to the Mandrakia fishermen village for a few more shots. Same approach: simple posing, no flash, intimate storytelling.
Why it Worked
- The Commitment: They woke up at 4 AM. Taylor got her hair and makeup done twice.
- Mobility: The boat gave us access. We moved efficiently and fast from Santorini to Milos.
- Timing: We shot at the right spots at the right time.
- They nailed the posing.
Milos is awesome for elopements. Weddings? Not there yet.
If you are considering eloping in Milos, send us a message and we'll make it happen for you!
