Travis & Katie’s Wedding in Mykonos

Our very first wedding in Mykonos was nothing short of special. Travis, a first responder from US, tied the knot with Katie in an intimate celebration at Branco Beach Bar on Platis Gialos. Their beautiful connection and a touch of luck (weather) made their day unforgettable.

I consider this a destination wedding

Back in Santorini, our schedule was packed as usual, but the idea of capturing a wedding in Mykonos was too tempting to resist. Despite the island’s usual vibe, we were determined to make the time for this new adventure.

After the ceremony, we visited Mykonos windmills and discovered some quieter spots nearby for their photoshoot. We were a team of three (we hired a photographer’s assistant) as I thought that the light would be very harsh, but no! It was bright but with a nice haze that gave a nice, cinematic touch to the image. Sticking to a natural aesthetic, we relied on minimal use of reflectors and flash during this shoot; aiming to tell Travis and Katie’s story in a simple, yet authentic way.
