Solei was the kind of bride who books every detail of her wedding two years in advance and replies to all your stories, comments on your posts and ask for a quick catch-up-make-sure-everything-is-fine call, every 15 days.
The couple loved the idea of having their pre-wedding pictures in Imerovigli. So we headed to Skaros Rock along with our 30-pound camera bags and another 30 pounds of gear: off-camera flashes, parabolic umbrellas, and poles to help us manage the harsh midday light. Shooting on a cloudless day in Santorini isn’t easy. With no natural diffusion, the shadows are intense, so we had to rely on fill light to keep the images balanced.
By now you probably know that shooting flat just isn’t our style and we don’t rely on sunsets.
We climbed up to the little chapel at the top of Skaros Rock, battling 30 mph winds the whole way. Connor and Solei embraced the whole process and did not complain even with the heat pushing into the high 90s.
On the wedding day, we were booked for 10 hours to capture everything from their morning preparations to the final fireworks.
The ceremony was held at Le Ciel, a beautiful venue overlooking the caldera. The day wrapped up with ground fireworks and an epic wedding dip kiss.
