Maxime and Jens traveled from Belgium for an intimate elopement at Dana Villas. This gallery is a prime example of what we can achieve in small elopements within a short timeframe. We spent just one hour with Jens and 90 minutes with Maxime, maximizing every minute to capture their preparations. The ceremony lasted around 20 minutes and our total time at the wedding venue was little bit less than an hour. The rest of our time was spent at our off location shoot.
Total hours of service: 5
Add-ons: Drone, 3 day delivery, photographer’s assistant
The Wedding Boudoir
Maxime requested a wedding boudoir session during her preparation. A sessions like this balance on a thin line; they can easily feel cheap or cringy if handled wrong. A Santorini wedding boudoir session adds a fine-art touch to the gallery that "standard" wedding photos simply can't reach.
The Private Session
For their portraits, we kept it clean and natural. We used a reflector to shape the light rather than flash, maintaining that soft, Mediterranean glow. We did a quick run to Imerovigli for some iconic shots at the Anastasi Church, then headed back just in time to capture the signature Dana Villas sunset.
The Approach
Efficiency is everything in elopements. You don't have the luxury of time, so you need to be decisive. I used invisible direction to keep them relaxed while moving fast between locations. The goal was to deliver a high-end, editorial result that feels like we had all day to shoot, even though we only had a few hours.
If you are planning a small elopement and want a photographer who can deliver a full, high-end story in a tight schedule, let's talk. Not into the "fast" pace? Check out Lara & Craig’s 3-day production to see how we handle the other end of the spectrum.
