Nikky and Sam travelled all the way from Australia to Santorini to exchange their vows in a private ceremony overlooking the Caldera. Despite the bad weather, we made the most of the situation, turning what could have been a disappointment into a unique opportunity to capture some dramatic portraits.
Together, we took a walk down to Skaros rock with the drizzle warning us about the storm that was approaching.
The photo session lasted about 90 minutes with both of them being a dream to work with, never complained about the cold, the steps or the drizzle.

Sam’s words:
As a french-australian couple, we thought we would be having a big wedding with friends and family abroad but we quickly come to sense when some of the elders didn't want to travel at all. We thought about Bali as it was my Nikki's dream, but covid and rising costs made it difficult to happen.
We immediately started investigating an elopement somewhere within Europe as we didn't want to delay marrying each other anymore than we already had.
Nikki thought about Santorini and we had a closer look and decided to go with this option after seeing how beautiful some of the past weddings have been. It has honestly been an awesome ceremony where we felt completely at ease and comfortable with everyone involved in making our day as amazing as it was!
In the end the experience of being able to get ready together slowly and enjoy each other's company throughout the day made everything do much more worth it, the intimacy is just not something your able to experience with a larger wedding.
It was a very intense and busy day and we are glad we have so many amazing pictures to cherish literally every moment of the day.
