For over a year I was planning for "the big day" and in a mere moment - from opening my eyes to greet the day ahead of me, it was my wedding day. There he was, my soon-to-be husband, kissing my cheek and stroking my arm, letting me know breakfast was on the balcony waiting for me. I sat up in our suite and through the charming double doors to the sea, embracing the day ahead.
Today WAS the day. As flowing emotions, reflective thoughts, and surreal alchemy settled in, I was at peace, enjoying the passing minutes. Sam and I parted ways after breakfast. I turned on some music , turned on the shower, and absorbed every moment as the hour drew closer.
I felt like I blinked *poof* - and my hair and makeup was done.
Once Themistocles and Thanos from Dreamodd showed up to our suite sh*t got real. Themistocles walked right up to me, looked me in my eyes and said "ah, just a little stressed out this morning" was a nice touch of comic relief to an impactful and monumental day.
Prior to our wedding day, I shared an idea with Themistocles: I wanted nude photos of me getting ready before ceremony. My cathartic nature wouldn't have it any other way: "this is me in my rawest form on an emotionally raw day."
I'm very comfortable in my skin ( shocking to hear - I know), I knew that level of comfortability would be match by Themistocles and Thanos. I felt like this beautiful bride- goddess standing in my power. Themistocles was laser focused on capturing unique and real photos of a bride (me) on her (my) wedding day. One of the elements in finding our photographer and videographer, was sharing an eye for uniqueness. We didn't want "nice" or cookie-cutter looking photos: we wanted fu***ng epicness.
That's what we got - book Dreamodd
